Verified data, not an opinion

Trade data you can check in five minutes

Official UN Comtrade and World Bank figures, cleaned into one spreadsheet. Every number carries its source URL, the retrieval date, and the exact API query — so you can verify it before you rely on it. If a figure could not be obtained, the file says not available. We never estimate.

Don't know your HS code?

Most buyers don't, and that is fine. Describe the product in one sentence at checkout (for example “imported canned sweetcorn” or “OEM phone chargers, 20W”) and we will pick the closest HS headings, show you which ones we considered, and state explicitly which part of the category the code cannot separate. If two codes are plausible we deliver both, at no extra charge.

What we will not do: quietly pick the code that makes the market look bigger — or a 4-digit heading when a 6-digit subheading would give you a sharper number.

How precise can the answer be?

LevelAvailable hereExample (Indonesia, 2023)
6-digit subheading (recommended)Yes 847130 portable computers: USD 1,167,070,863
4-digit headingYes 8471 all computers: USD 2,746,490,436
8- or 10-digit national codeNo — not in the UN data —

The 6-digit level is usually the right one for a market-size question: it is narrow enough to mean something and still comparable across countries. Where a national 8-digit split would be needed, we say so instead of quietly substituting a broader code.

Who is behind this

One person, no sales team, no account manager. FlintAPI is run by Yucong Chen. The same person who assembled the file answers your email — so if a figure does not match the source URL we either correct it or refund the order, and you are not passed between departments to get there.

Why that matters for a data purchase: you are not buying a brand promise. You are buying a spreadsheet you can check in five minutes against the exact query on every row — before you rely on it, and before you forward it to a client.

Optional: a written analysis note — USD 99

A 2–4 page note written against the same figures as your pack: what the numbers do and do not support, where the concentration sits, and what would have to be true for the market to look different. Every figure cites the row in your spreadsheet; anything the data cannot settle is marked not verified rather than guessed. Delivered within 72 hours of the pack.

Add the analysis note — $99

Need more than one HS code or more than one country? Each additional set is +$29 and arrives as its own file in the same delivery - we do not merge different codes into one sheet, because merged sheets are where numbers get confused.

What this is not. No forecasts, no pricing or margin estimates, no strategy advice, no primary research. Not financial, legal or tax advice. If a number is wrong you can prove it in one API call — and we fix it or refund.

Why not just ask an AI assistant?

An assistant cannot call these APIs. Ask it for Indonesia's HS 2106 imports and you get a plausible-looking number with no source. Here you get the number and the query to re-run, so a client's follow-up question has an answer.
